Itinerary

Day 1 Lima
Arrive at any time.

Day 2 Paracas
Free morning in Lima before travelling by bus to Paracas.

Days 3-4 Nazca
Optional visit to Ballestas Islands before travelling to Nazca. Guided tour of Nazca desert cemetery and potter's studio. Optional flight over the Nazca Lines before the night bus to Arequipa.

Day 5 Arequipa
Free day in Arequipa. Optional city tour or visit to the Santa Catalina Monastery.

Days 6-7 Colca Canyon
Travel by private van to Chivay for a guided tour to Colca Canyon to spot condors. Optional visit to local hot springs.

Days 8-10 Puno/Lake Titicaca
Travel by bus to Puno. Visit to the floating Islands of Uros and guided tour of Lake Titicaca with a homestay in a small village. Optional visit to Sillustani Burial site.

Days 11 Cusco
Travel by bus to Cusco, free day to enjoy the city's museums and local markets.

Day 12 Sacred Valley/Ollantaytambo 

Full day guided tour of the Sacred Valley and Ollantaytambo ruins along with a visit to a Planeterra weavi
ng project in a local community. Visit the Planeterra-supported Sacred Valley Community Restaurant in Huchuy Qosco, an indigenous village for lunch.

Days 13-16 Inca Trail/Machu Picchu
4-day guided Inca Trail hike with visit to Machu Picchu. Optional visit to the Inca Bridge before returning to Cusco.

Day 17 Cusco
Free day to explore Cusco or relax. Active options include whitewater rafting, horseback riding and mountain biking.

Days 18-20 Amazon Jungle
Fly to Puerto Maldonado and continue by motorized boat to our comfortable, intimate and exclusive G Lodge Amazon. Enjoy guided excursions by expert naturalists to spot wildlife at nearby oxbow lakes and clay licks. Included rubber boots while at the lodge. Fly back to Lima on Day 20.

Day 21 Lima/Quito
Fly to Quito. Flight is unescorted and included in the price of the trip.

Day 22 Baltra / Santa Cruz
Transfer early to the airport for our flight to the Galapagos Islands. Upon arrival meet our naturalist guide, who will assist with the transfer to the Xavier, moored in Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz Island. Visit a tortoise ranch in the Santa Cruz highlands and get up close an personal with these ancient creatures.

Day 23 Chinese Hat / Black Turtle Cove
Visit to Chinese Hat for snorkelling opportunities and to observe the birds and sea lions before taking an excursion to Black Turtle Cove to see the marine life.

Day 24 Cerro Dragón / Daphne
Visit Cerro Dragón on the west coast of Santa Cruz Island, to see land iguanas and a salt water lagoon frequented by flamingoes and other species of birds. Continue to Daphne Island in the afternoon to spot birds and wildlife.

Day 25 South Plaza / Santa Fé
Land at South Plaza in the morning for wildlife spotting opportunities. Afternoon visit to Santa Fé Island for guided walks to observe the wildlife and plentiful marine iguanas. Opportunities for swimming and snorkelling with the sea lions.

Day 26 San Cristóbal
Reach San Cristóbal in the morning. Disembark after breakfast then we visit the interpretation center, and transfer to the airport for our flight to Quito. Transfer to our group hotel upon arrival, and enjoy one last night on the town.

Day 27 Quito
Depart at any time.
