Itinerary

Day 1 Cape Town
Arrive at any time.

Day 2-3 Cederberg/Gariep River
View dramatic Western Cape scenery, and camp on a local farm. Opt to canoe on the Gariep River.

Day 4-6 Fish River Canyon/Namib Desert
Enjoy the sunset at Fish River Canyon. Explore Sossusvlei Dunes, climbing the breathtaking Dune 45.

Day 7-11 Swakopmund/Spitzkoppe/Damaraland/Etosha National Park
Various game drives in Etosha NP in our overland vehicle. Meet our local friends, and explore the back streets and local culture on a guided interpretive walk. Opt to sand board, go skydiving, or explore historic Swakopmund. Enjoy the desert scenery and granite peaks along the way.

Day 12-15 Windhoek/Kalahari/Maun
Stop over in Namibia's capital, then choose to learn survival skills from the locals in the Kalahari.

Day 16 Okavango Delta
Enjoy game walks, traditional mokoro (dug-out canoe) excursions and birding during our night of bush camping. Learn the ways of the bush from your local polers.

Day 17-18 Gweta/Chobe River
Camp under ancient baobab trees. Option to embark on a boat cruise on the Chobe River.

Day 19-24 Livingstone/Lusaka/Chipata
Ferry crossing into Zambia. Option to visit Victoria Falls, go whitewater rafting or canoeing, or perhaps fly over the falls. Camp on a private game farm.

Day 25-28 Lake Malawi
Relax on the shores of 'the lake of stars', visit various lakeside camps, and enjoy a traditional dinner in a local home. Visit a local pub one evening; first drink is on us! Option to go for walks, snorkelling, take a village tour or go on a fishing trip.

Day 29-30 Iringa/Dar es Salaam
Climb out of the Great Rift Valley, view vast tea plantations, and descend down to the Indian Ocean.

Day 31-34 Zanzibar/Stone Town/Nungwi
Explore Stone Town, and enjoy a guided tour of a spice plantation. Option to visit museums, historical sites and markets. Enjoy the beach and marine activities like snorkelling, scuba diving and swimming.

Day 35-36 Korogwe/Arusha
Ferry to Dar es Salaam. Catch your first glimpse of Mt Kilimanjaro. Option to visit craft markets.

Day 37-39 Serengeti National Park/Ngorongoro Crater/Arusha
Change over to 4x4 safari vehicles; enjoy daily game drives.

Day 40 Nairobi
Travel through the lands of the Masai people to Nairobi, where the tour ends upon arrival in the late afternoon.
