Travel overland on a small group tour where you will see the famous sights of Egypt on a shoestring.

From seeing the temples in Cairo to travelling down the Nile, this is the true Egyptian experience as a low price. You will travel by local van with has air-conditioning - this is perfect especially as Egypt has a hot humid climate. You will be able to interact and barter with locals in bazaars, learn about the history and culture of the country, see breathtaking locations and ancient monuments and meet new people.

Itinerary

Days 1-2 Cairo
Tour starts in the Egyptian capital where you will get to meet your group, tour leader and learn more about the trip ahead. On the second day you will get to go sightseeing and see places like the Egyptian Museum, Pyramids of Giza, Sphinx and also the local markets.

Day 3-4 Aswan
After an overnight train you will arrive in Aswan where you will get to enjoy a meal with a local family. There is also an excursion to the Abu Simbel temples available.

Day 5 Nile River
Float down the world famous Nile on a Felucca sailing trip where you will spend the night - a totally unique opportunity.

Day 6-7 Luxor
Luxor has some of the best ancient ruins in the world, you could pay a visit to the spectacular Karnak Temple and the Valley of the Kings.

Day 8 Cairo
Tour finishes back in Cairo and you are free to leave anytime.
