Volunteering and safari in Uganda

Volunteer at a rhino sanctuary in remote Uganda, helping to reintroduce rhinos to the country. Rhinos were hunted to extinction in the 1980s, and this project is working to reverse that.

Once your volunteering is done, you will head off to the Murchison Falls National Park to enjoy a safari.

Volunteer in a beautiful sanctuary in remote Uganda. You will be helping staff to care for, monitor and protect the rhinos in their care. This is a wonderful opportunity to work closely with locals and make a genuine contribution to the reintroduction of the species.

Tasks can include:

• Rhino monitoring
• Collecting data on the rhinos
• Animal tracking and identification
• Conservation work
• Community education
• Flora and fauna studies
• Fence patrol and repairs

The work can be quite physical, but you will be rewarded with unprecedented rhino sightings and three delicious meals each day.

You will be living in a lodge in the sanctuary grounds, very much at one with nature.

Your volunteering period will be rounded off with a 3 day safari in the Murchison Falls National Park. An unforgettable end to the trip.
